PRELIMINARY 2012 EVENT SCHEDULE - TO BE UPDATED
Thursday Aug 16 (optional): arrive in Saranac Lake, register/pick up event packet at Adirondack Artists Guild, 52, Main St. - beginning at 9 AM. 518-891-2615.

"Paint the Town" - your registration fee includes a free 5x7 canvas or paper. Work anywhere within the Village between the hours of 10 - 4 pm. (Each artist is asked to donate 1 5x7 painting). Bring completed works to the Adirondack Artists' Guild, 52 Main St., to be set up for a Silent Auction. Auction will conclude on Sunday Aug 19 and proceeds will be donated to an area arts related, not-for-profit organization.

"3rd Thursday ArtWalk" - from 5 - 7:30 pm there will be artists and musicians throughout the village, stroll about, visit the various art venues, and enjoy the evening. Free live music at Berkeley Green.

Friday Aug 17: Paint the VIC" - spend the day at the Paul Smith's College Adirondack Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC). Miles of trails, scenic views - mountains, old growth forest, bogs, streams, marsh, beaver lodges, Adirondack lean-tos, etc. Indoor facilities. Plans in the works for food and entertainment.

: blank canvases, panels, paper, etc. need to be stamped at Borealis Color prior to working on them.
Saturday Aug 18: Continue Painting!
Choose a location from the list provided and plan your own day. In case of inclement weather, there will be locations with covered porches or gazebos.

Pontoon boat rides for artists maybe be available on Lake Flower and Oseetah Lake. Details to follow.

Reminder
: blank canvases, panels, paper, etc. need to be stamped at Borealis Color prior to working on them.
Sunday Aug 19: Artists will bring no more than 3 pieces of framed work produced during the festival, to the Show & Sale site - the Harrietstown Town Hall - on Main St. in Saranac Lake, at 9 am. Artists will hang their own work and then leave by 10:00 so the Juror of Awards can select the prize winners. Name tags and labels will be provided to artists. Display racks will be set up. Artists may return at noon.

Awards Selections will be made by Ann Larsen, the Juror of Awards  between 10:00 - 12 noon.

Show & Sale, 12 - 4 pm: Opens to the public at noon and will go until 4. Award presentations at 1 pm. Saranac Lake ArtWorks will handle all sales and collect a 10% commission.

The "Paint the Town" Silent Auction will be moved to the Town Hall and will conclude at 3 pm.

4 pm: Head for home!

ONLINE DISPLAY: With artists' permission, some of the work produced at the Plein Air Festival will go onto the Saranac Lake ArtWorks web site in order to share with a broader audience and encourage sales.
