Present: Sandy, Carol, Mark, Jim H, Johnny, Jacqueline A, Jim C
The main focus of this meeting was to discuss and create the job description for the position that the REDC grant would fund. It ended with the ArtWork team tasked with developing the final description and reporting back to Jim H. It would help if BluSeed staff could clarify the tasks they take care of.
It was discussed that the position needs to definitely work on developing other income sources and grants in order to fund the position in the future. Organizational & management experience more important than not-for-profit experience.
If grant doesn't come through, ArtWorks would still like to try to hire someone at a 1/2 time position.
Hiring schedule from grant
Business Sponsor Program - no progress yet
Studio Tour - materials and publicity in
progress for Oct tour.
Plein Air Festival - waiting for final bills and
payments to come in.
Financial Report - it would help if the ArtWorks
Committee had access to the financial records so they
could check on bills and checks received.
Brochures - Sandy reported we have 6 cartons of
ArtWorks brochures - they should be redistributed to
Membership - Sandy suggested a joint
ArtWorks/BluSeed membership. Included in all ArtWorks
professional memberships would be $35 to go to BluSeed
for a basic membership. Eliminate ArtWorks $25
supporting membership and make it a $35 BluSeed basic
Acknowledgement of Partnership - we should each
have something on our websites. Sandy has put BluSeed
logo and link on ArtWorks home page; also added link to
press release and info about partnership on ArtWorks
Flea Market Oct 28 - Beth Gallagher has
organized one in the Town Hall to benefit not-for-profit
organizations. We've been invited to participate. Since
it is a Studio Tour day, it was suggested ArtWorks have
a table with brochures and Studio Tour flyers.
