Matt B.: Matt and Todd bought a vintage cigarette machine and want to make it an art vending machine. Will order boxes to decorate and sell for $1. Art-o-matic machines! Will be at 7444 for the 1st ArtWalk. Needs art by the end of the month. Matt will send out info to everyone.
The following bold, underlined words have been selected as our 'official' ArtWorks marketing words....
Mission Statement - Promoting and nurturing the arts in the community of Saranac Lake.
Action Statement – We encourage cooperative ventures of artists, businesses, and organizations by encouraging the creative processes.
Tagline - Experience, Experience Art, Experience the Thrill, Experience Art Here, Experience Creativity, Art works in Saranac Lake
Vision - many components – could have sub committees actually work on developing action plans for these things.
Peter – vision is a greater thing than a list of tasks, i.e., educate the public about the arts, or make SL an arts destination.
Ad Design Committee
Press packet – Todd willing to put one together once we solidify mission, tagline, etc.
Address in advertising? Susan’s address – add to rack card too, at least phone number - we need a physical address so visitors have someplace to go to pick up materials or learn more about ArtWorks (and Borealis is a prime location with regular business hours).
Rack card – ads – “Saranac Lake” – upper and lower case. Correct mission statement
Meetings: every month, business, every other month social-
